Marcos Vieira was born in 1964 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he spent the first 25 years of his life. He began drawing and painting at the tender age of five, and his passion for art was evident early on.
During his youth, however, other commitments took priority: school, training and various jobs left him little time for his artistic ambitions.
In 1990, Vieira moved to Germany, where he soon married, started a family, studied and worked. Despite these new challenges, he returned to art in 1995. Since then, he has devoted himself intensively to his work as a freelance painter and has developed a distinctive signature: floating globes over imaginary landscapes.
Marcos Vieira's works enjoy international recognition and are in both public and private ownership in Europe, Brazil, Hong Kong and Taiwan. A significant highlight of his career is the painting "MEETING AT THE TOWER" from 2008, which has been part of the permanent collection of the Museum Zitadelle Jülich since 2010.
Vieira's unique combination of surreal elements and masterful technique gives his pictures a fascinating depth that transports the viewer into imaginary worlds and at the same time inspires reflection.
