Getting started

Roseline Al Oumami is a French painter of Norman origin. As a child, she discovered her artistic side through dance, music and drawing. A decisive turning point in her career was her meeting with Sister Jeanne Dupont, an artist then known as Yvain Marnier. This encounter revealed her true calling and led her to discover her passion for painting. In 1990, she exhibited her figurative works for the first time in a solo exhibition and won a prize at the international competition of the city of Deauville.

Her art is characterized by constant change. Roseline Al Oumami's work moves between abstraction, fantasy and semi-figuration, drawing inspiration from artists such as Jackson Pollock, Pierre Soulages, Nicolas de Staël, Hans Hartung and Zao Wou Ki. After working with oil paints for a long time, she now prefers acrylic paints and places particular emphasis on shaping the material to create movement effects.

Since her first exhibition in 1990, Roseline Al Oumami has established herself on the national and international art scene. Her works have been presented in numerous exhibitions in France, as well as in Portugal, Italy, Algeria, Norway, China, Germany, England and the USA.
