Stephen Cimini is a self-taught artist with a background in architecture who describes his work as "random symmetry." He creates meditative compositions based on the golden ratio, using oil and cold wax to create layers of organic surfaces within geometrically ordered lines. His color choices are formed through both planning and spontaneous intuition. Cimini studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His work is represented in private and public collections internationally, and he is the recipient of the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Fellowship.
