Silvia Popa was born in Timișoara, Romania, in 1982, where she completed a four-year art degree that laid the foundation for her artistic career. Her first exhibition also took place in Timișoara and marked the beginning of her journey as an artist.
In Popa's works, various styles can be discovered, characterized by her characteristic, sometimes nervous brushstroke. Her art is permeated by a deep honesty that allows her to portray all her facets openly and unvarnished. Melancholy runs like a thread through many of her works, giving them a special emotional depth.
