Jocelyn Akwaba Matignon, born in Guadeloupe in 1961, is a versatile artist who combines Caribbean, Amerindian and contemporary influences in his works. Inspired by the Mayan cosmogony and the symbolism of the indigenous peoples of the Americas, he developed his own style that revolves around the dream figure "Kioukan". His distinctive triangular logo reflects his artistic journey between Europe, Africa and America. In his work, Matignon explores the mysteries of the universe and questions reality and appearance. For over three decades, he has exhibited his works worldwide, illuminating the many facets of his origins.
