La Porte Rouge

Through the photograph the artist analyses and studies the hues of a very incandescent and bright red . Through the camera's eye, Alvarez-Ossa gives a dramatic scene of an open door and the richly, golden ornamentation of the door's handle. The viewer, as a voyeur, wants to push the door and see what is going in the room, whose color is as red as the door itself. The "mezzotinto" technique renders an idea of sensuality and thrilling expectations and gives to the work the feeling of being a painting on paper. Framed und under glass.
