“Born” was one of the earliest on a list of painting titles I made, right at the start of my artistic career. When I started work on this piece it was to be named “The Conjuration Of the Fire Elemental By the Magus” and that was the idea that instructed every stroke, spatter, and pouring of paint. The painting depicts the birth and coming forth of a wild and powerful spirit of fire - pure power, pure energy, pure passion and feeling, created by the will of a magick man - encompassing and echoing the artistic creative process itself..
