from the Between Realities series

Still Between is about a state of being suspended somewhere between the real world and your inner space.

Sometimes what is happening around us becomes so overwhelming that we need to step away for a moment and look at ourselves from the outside. To realize that much of it is far beyond our control, and that all we can really do is preserve a sense of harmony within.

It is a way of maintaining inner balance — leaving to the outside world what does not depend on us, while protecting our own space and our own rhythm, even in very uncertain times.

The cracks, inspired by the aesthetics of kintsugi, run between these different worlds. For me, they reflect the way we gradually piece our lives back together after events that change our familiar reality — different from before, but still our own.
